The position requires one year of college, prefers an A.A. or A.S. Degree preferred in communications, marketing, public relations, and/or media relations etc. The ideal candidate for this position will have clerical skills, an educational background that demonstrates a highly self-motivated individual with critical outside-the- box thinking skills, who can also work with a team.
The ideal candidate will also be proficient in using office computer applications, especially Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe programs. Advanced skills and/or enough familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere are required. Familiarity with basic software operation, online databases, and website templates are also helpful.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical/office duties
· Aid in data collection
· Experience and knowledge of Adobe programs, specifically Photoshop, Premiere, Audition, InDesign and Illustrator
· Proficient in Media Outreach, Marketing and campaign planning
· Social Media outreach and marketing
· Create ads (print, TV, radio, social media and media releases), brochures, and write Articles
· Duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator, Deputy Director and/or Executive Director
· Create presentations using PowerPoint or other like format/s for the Project Coordinator and/or the
Deputy Director to present
· Create program lesson plans and adapt lessons when needed
· Assist in event planning and coordinating
· Perform presentations to local stakeholders, partners, community members, and/or local youth under the direction of the Project Coordinator or the Deputy Director
· Assist the Project Coordinator in completing grant requirements
· Assist with the implementation of Coalition programs under the direction of the Project Coordinator
· Travel to various meetings/trainings is required
